
Leanne Brown Event
In October 2016, while working for UAlberta’s Faculty of Arts, my team partnered with the Office of Alumni Relations for an event and book sale to promote Arts alumna Leanne Brown’s socially innovative cookbook - Good and Cheap.
I was tasked with promotion and media relations for the event, as well as event logistics support.
After a broad campaign, which included securing two high profile Arts alumni as hosts, we sold out the event with 100+ community members in attendance. We also partnered with UAlberta's catering services to create the evening's menu using Leanne's Good & Cheap recipes.

We sold close to 50 copies of Leanne's book, which resulted in the same number being donated to UAlberta's Campus Food Bank.
